India’s Prema Rawat has set a new record for the fastest half-century in women’s domestic T20 cricket, reaching the milestone in just 14 balls and surpassing Pakistan captain Fatima Sana’s previous record of 15 deliveries.
Representing Uttarakhand against Hyderabad in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy on November 2, Rawat scored an unbeaten 50 at the MCA Cricket Stadium in Pune.
Her explosive innings included six fours and four sixes, giving her a strike rate of 357.14.
Fatima Sana’s Previous Record
Fatima Sana had set the previous record in May 2026 when she scored a 15-ball half-century against Zimbabwe in Karachi.
However, the record for the fastest half-century in Women’s T20 Internationals still belongs to the Pakistan captain, according to the report.
