PRCS, Turkish Red Crescent hold blood donation drive at Türkiye embassy in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Red Crescent Society, in collaboration with Turkish Red Crescent, organised a blood donation drive at the Embassy of Türkiye in Islamabad to promote voluntary blood donation and support patients in need.

The event brought together diplomats, officials and staff, including Dr Irfan Neziroğlu, who participated in the drive along with embassy personnel. Officials said the initiative reflects continued humanitarian cooperation between the two organisations.

The ceremony was also attended by Farzhana Naek and Beyza Taner, along with representatives from both societies.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Neziroğlu appreciated PRCS efforts in organising the drive and highlighted the importance of collective humanitarian initiatives, particularly in times of growing challenges.

Farzhana Naek said voluntary blood donation plays a vital role in saving lives and supporting patients in critical need, stressing the importance of collaboration to ensure the availability of safe blood.

Officials said the initiative underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships and expand lifesaving services across the country.
