LAHORE: Pakistan Railways has announced a summer holiday special train operation (49-Up, 50-Dn) between Rawalpindi and Karachi from July 5 to July 30 to facilitate tourists.
The special train (50-Dn) will start from Rawalpindi on July 5 and run on July 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, a Pakistan Railways spokesperson said on Friday. at 12:30 and should reach Karachi Cantt at 15:15 the next day.
Return Service (49-Up) July 6th, 9th, 12th, 15th, 18th, 21st, 24th, 27th and 30th at 8:45 pm Will reach Rawalpindi by 10 pm the next day.
The train will stop at major stations including Jhelum, Lalamusa, Gujrat, Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Raiwind, Okara, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Hanpur, Rohri and Hyderabad. The Summer Holiday Special Train will have 2 AC standard coaches, 2 AC coaches, 5 economy class coaches, 1 brake car and 1 power train. Additionally, 6 economy class coaches will be added from Lahore to accommodate more passengers.
