Taxila: The 46th death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the founder of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), was observed at Malik Shahid Nawaz Gujjar’s residence in Taxila. The ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Member of the Punjab Assembly and Chairperson of the Standing Committee, Nargis Faiz Malik, and former Deputy Speaker of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Shaheena Kausar Dar.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Quran, followed by a special prayer for the people of Palestine and the health of President Asif Ali Zardari. Nargis Faiz Malik paid tribute to Bhutto, stating that he sacrificed his life for the country and its people, bringing about a revolution in the lives of the oppressed by freeing them from the exploitative system.
Malik emphasized the need for the Chief Minister of Punjab to empower female members of the Punjab Assembly before talking about empowering women in general.
Shaheena Kausar Dar praised the loyalty of PPP workers, stating that they are the party’s most valuable asset and that Bhutto’s political philosophy is the core of their politics.
A former councilor of the Wah Cantonment Board, Sheikh Naeem, joined the PPP, bringing new talent to the party.
The ceremony was attended by numerous party workers and leaders, including Raja Mansoor Abbasi, Syed Ishfaq Shah, and Javed Karim Qureshi.
The ceremony concluded with Malik Shahid Nawaz Gujjar thanking the guests for their attendance, reaffirming the PPP’s commitment to its principles and the legacy of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
