Salman Khan Under Tight Security

The incident occurred amid heightened security arrangements around Salman Khan’s residence. The actor’s security was upgraded to Y-plus category in 2024 following threats linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and the killing of his close associate and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique.

Khan has faced repeated threats in connection with the long-running blackbuck hunting case from the 1990s. The Bishnoi gang has previously issued threats against the actor, while the group claimed responsibility for Siddique’s killing.

Khan’s Galaxy Apartments residence has also previously been targeted. In April 2024, two motorcycle-borne men allegedly fired several rounds outside the building. Investigators subsequently linked the shooting to the network associated with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
