The cricket tournament organized by Frontier Corps North and Dir Scouts concluded successfully, with Dir Lower Police emerging as the champions of the final match. The tournament, held with the support of Frontier Corps North and XI Corps under the auspices of Dir Scouts, featured participation from seven teams across the district.
The final match was contested between the teams of Dir Scouts and Dir Lower Police. Winning the toss, Dir Lower Police opted to bat first and set a formidable target of 190 runs in the allotted 10 overs, thanks to a flurry of sixes and fours. In response, Dir Scouts could only manage 120 runs in their allotted overs, leading to a victory for Dir Lower Police.Brigadier Sanaullah, Commandant Dir Scouts, was the chief guest on the occasion, while the final match was attended by senior military and civil officials, local elders, and a large number of spectators. During the match, paragliders performed aerial stunts thousands of feet above the ground, providing great entertainment to the audience.Citizens and local elders expressed joy over the organization of the cricket tournament and called for similar events to be held in the future. At the conclusion, the chief guest Brigadier Sanaullah, along with DPO Dir Lower Saleem Abbas Kalachi, distributed trophies and awards among the players.
