Police officers have been promoted to the ranks of Additional Inspector General (Addl. IG) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG). A badge-pinning ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to honor the promoted officers. Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman was the chief guest at the event. A smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honor to the Chief Secretary.
Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman and Inspector General of Police Dr. Usman Anwar pinned the promotion ranks on the officers and congratulated their families. The newly promoted officers are expected to further improve departmental affairs under their leadership roles and continue serving the nation.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar stated that the historic reforms and welfare measures taken for the police force would not have been possible without the support of Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman.
