Tarbila Ghazi: In a significant operation, the Ghazi Police, under the supervision of SDPO Ghazi Raja Bashir Ahmed, destroyed a large area of poppy and opium crops in the remote mountainous Union Council of Nara Amma Zai, located across the lake. The operation, which involved a heavy police force, staff from the TMA, local patwari officials, and other personnel, was carried out in the village of Ghari Shah within the union council. The opium and poppy crops, which had been secretly cultivated in the mountains, were eradicated using a spraying method.
The police action has been widely praised by local communities, social circles, and prominent figures. This operation was conducted in line with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s zero-tolerance policy against drugs.
