Islamabad: Pakistan Navy (PNS) ship Moawin visited Comoros for the first time and established a free medical camp for local residents.
On arrival at Moutsamudu Port on the island of Anjou, the ship was greeted by the Commander of the Comoros Coast Guard and other senior military and government officials.
While the civil servant Moawin was at the port, the Governor of Anjou, Dr. Zaidou Oussouf, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, Colonel S.B. Dailami and other civilian and military leaders in Comoros.
Various issues of mutual interest and opportunities for bilateral cooperation were discussed in this meeting.
The Commander of the Navy, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, extended his warm greetings to the Comoros authorities for their support to the incoming ships.
In addition, shipboard exercises and discussions on various practical issues are conducted to improve efficiency.
In Comoros, civil servants established Moawin Medical Camp, where surgeons and medical specialists of the Pakistan Navy provide free medical advice, treatment and medicines to patients.
The medical camp was well received by the local population who benefited from the quality medical care provided.
PNS Moawi’s maiden visit to Comoros demonstrates Pakistan Navy’s commitment to developing friendly relations and providing vital medical services to communities in need.
