PNS/M Conducts Maiden Live Weapon Firing

KARACHI: Pakistan Navy’s newly inducted submarine PNS/M HANGOR has successfully conducted its maiden live weapon firing in the North Arabian Sea, demonstrating the vessel’s operational readiness and combat capabilities.

During the exercise, the submarine accurately engaged a designated long-range target using an anti-ship cruise missile.

Admiral Naveed Ashraf NI, NI(M), T Bt, Chief of the Naval Staff, witnessed the live firing and praised the submarine’s combat capabilities. He also highlighted the strategic importance of strengthening Pakistan Navy’s subsurface capabilities to support credible maritime deterrence.

The successful firing marks an important milestone for PNS/M HANGOR following its induction into the Pakistan Navy and demonstrates the service’s focus on developing a modern and combat-ready maritime force.

According to the Pakistan Navy, the milestone reflects its commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s maritime frontiers and contributing to regional peace and stability.
