ABBOTTABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Abbottabad District President Malik Mohabbat Awan has welcomed the announcement regarding the imposition of Governor’s Rule and a state of emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, describing the measures as steps toward restoring peace, improving public safety and strengthening administration in the province.
He expressed these views while addressing the party’s weekly meeting at the PML-N district secretariat in Abbottabad. District Information Secretary Malik Sohail Awan provided details of the meeting, which was chaired by Malik Mohabbat Awan and District General Secretary Zulfiqar Javed Abbasi.
The gathering was attended by Abbottabad Tehsil President Khurram Khan Jadoon and a large number of party office-bearers and workers.
Addressing participants, Malik Mohabbat Awan said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa deserved relief from political confrontation, unrest and poor governance. He argued that political leaders should be held accountable for their performance, corruption allegations and the province’s law-and-order situation.
PML-N Calls for Peace and Good Governance
District General Secretary Zulfiqar Javed Abbasi said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa deserved peace, development, prosperity and effective governance.
He paid tribute to the sacrifices made by police personnel and security agencies, describing their contributions as unforgettable.
Abbasi also stressed that the province’s resources should be used for public welfare rather than the interests of any political party. He identified education, healthcare, employment and public development as key priorities for the province’s future.
He added that PML-N would seek to play a significant role in promoting peace, development, prosperity and the rule of law in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Party Leaders Attend Weekly Meeting
Other participants included Vice President Inayat Shah, District Vice President Ahmed Nawaz Khan Jadoon, District Vice Presidents Sardar Tariq and Jarrar-ul-Hassan, Lohar Tanawal General Secretary Malik Zubair, Abbottabad Cantonment President Zulfiqar Bhutto Gujjar, City General Secretary Sardar Zaheer and Social Media Team District President Abrar Tanoli.
A large number of party office-bearers and workers also attended the meeting.
The gathering concluded with prayers for Pakistan’s security and prosperity.
