The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has announced that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) for 2026 admissions will be held nationwide on August 16.
In a notification issued on Tuesday, the PMDC said the entrance examination would take place across Pakistan on the same date as part of the unified admission process for medical and dental colleges.
The council also confirmed that the MDCAT 2026 syllabus will follow the 2025 curriculum framework.
MDCAT is a mandatory requirement for students seeking admission to medical and dental institutions in Pakistan, with thousands of candidates appearing in the exam each year.
The PMDC said a public notice had been issued to inform students and educational institutions about the examination schedule and syllabus guidelines for the upcoming admission cycle.
