Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad on Monday to mourn the death of President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hussain Amir Abdullahi in a tragic incident.
“I am deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic news of the martyrdom of my brother, the President of Iran, Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdullahi,” he said during his visit. .
He expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran at this time of grief and sorrow.
“Our condolences and prayers are with the families of the martyrs and the people of Iran.”
The Prime Minister said that Dr Syed Ebrahim Raisi was a great scientist and a visionary leader.
Prime Minister Shehbaz said that he will always remember his services to his people, as well as strengthen Pakistan-Iran relations and regional cooperation.
He said President Raisi’s visit to Pakistan last month helped strengthen bilateral ties.
The Prime Minister prayed.
Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the people of Pakistan for standing with their country in difficult times.
President Dr. Raisi considered Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as the best man and friend of Iran.
He said that he respected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s sentiments and words about late President Raisi.
The Ambassador said that the late Ebrahim Raisi’s vision of strengthening and developing Pakistan-Iran relations will continue.
The Prime Minister wrote his condolences in the condolence book.
