Instead of implementing its vision, the Waste Management Company in Pind Dadan Khan city has started contributing to the spread of filth. Despite the grace period having ended, the company still lacks the necessary machinery and tools. After photo sessions in the city, the collected garbage is dumped near the Government Girls College Pind Dadan Khan and the slaughterhouse. The stench and foul odor from this dumping site are causing distress to the students studying at the college.
The garbage collected at the dumping point is loaded onto dumpers and transported uncovered through the city’s main bazaar, scattering trash along the roads. After being weighed on Khewra Road, the same garbage is brought back into the city and returned to the dumping point. This process is spreading filth and stench throughout the city, increasing environmental pollution and causing hardship for the residents.
Streets are not being washed, nor is door-to-door garbage collection being carried out. The state of cleanliness in streets and neighborhoods has deteriorated. Office bearers of the Anjuman-e-Tajiran (Traders Association) Pind Dadan Khan and local citizens have appealed to the Chief Minister of Punjab and the Chief Secretary Punjab to take notice of the poor performance and unsanitary conditions in Pind Dadan Khan
