Performance reviews of PID offices in Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan were presented, along with areas identified for improvement in outreach and internal coordination.
Governor calls for modernization and stronger role
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said PID has a key responsibility in presenting the state’s position and should be aligned with modern communication requirements. He emphasized the need to equip PID offices in Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan with updated facilities.
He also suggested establishing an effective media cell to enhance coordination and response capacity.
The governor noted that public issues in the province have not seen sufficient progress over the past several years, while social media narratives often present a more positive picture. He said PID should play a more active role in addressing and countering misleading information.
