Pakistan International Airlines has announced a limited-time fare discount for passengers travelling to Pakistan from Paris, offering 10% off on eligible incoming flights as part of a targeted incentive for early 2026 travel.

A spokesperson for the airline said bookings under the offer can be made until February 10, 2026, while discounted travel will be available during two defined windows: February 1 to March 10 and May 1 to May 15, 2026. The promotion applies to flights departing from Paris to destinations across Pakistan.

PIA said the move is aimed at easing travel costs and improving convenience for passengers on the Paris–Pakistan route, which serves a large number of overseas Pakistanis as well as business and leisure travellers.

Separately, officials briefing the Senate Standing Committee on Privatization said the national carrier is preparing to resume and expand international operations, following recent improvements in services to the UK and European routes. The committee was told that PIA may also seek to restore direct flights to the United States later this year, subject to regulatory approvals.

Lawmakers were further informed that the government is targeting around Rs55 billion from PIA’s privatization process. Officials added that while key overseas properties remain under state ownership, the airline’s liabilities have been addressed to reduce pressure on the national exchequer.
