Peshawar: The district administration has imposed Section 144 in Peshawar during SSC exams 2026, banning micro-photocopy shops and the sale of guides near examination centres to prevent cheating.
According to an official notification issued during exams under BISE Peshawar, the restrictions aim to block access to unauthorised materials and ensure a transparent, merit-based examination process.
Officials said the move directly targets activities that facilitate cheating, particularly the availability of pocket guides and photocopied material around exam venues.
Ban on photocopy shops and guides
Under Section 144, micro-photostat businesses and vendors selling exam-related guides or supporting material near centres have been restricted.
Authorities warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone violating the orders, reinforcing a zero-tolerance approach toward unfair practices.
Monitoring and public role
Monitoring around exam centres has been tightened, with teams deployed to ensure compliance during the examination period.
The administration has also urged students and parents to report any suspicious activity, assuring that complaints will be addressed immediately.
Officials said the measures are part of wider efforts to maintain exam integrity and provide a fair environment for all candidates.
