The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has devised a strategy to move away from foreign head coaches.
According to sources, Red Ball Head Coach Jason Gillespie’s contract will be terminated early, and he will be relieved of his duties. The PCB is now considering appointing a Pakistani head coach for all three formats of the game. A Pakistani head coach will be appointed for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe.
The proposal includes having foreign batting, bowling, and fielding coaches as part of the support staff alongside the Pakistani head coach. However, an announcement regarding the White Ball Head Coach will soon be made for the tours of Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Sources also revealed that foreign coaches often try to pressure PCB officials. Jason Gillespie reportedly attempted to impose certain conditions, which the PCB refused to accept.
