The participation of Pakistani cricketers in the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 League has moved closer to reality after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and league organisers reportedly reached an agreement over the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
According to sources, franchises participating in the league and several Pakistani players had requested the PCB to issue NOCs to allow them to take part in the tournament.
Following the requests, efforts were made to resolve the matter, and the PCB reportedly considered the issue sympathetically before reaching an understanding with the league organisers.
Under the reported agreement, the PCB will receive compensation of up to $200,000, along with certain facilities.
With the matter settled between the parties, the chances of Pakistani players receiving NOCs for the Abu Dhabi T10 League have significantly improved.
Around 15 Pakistani cricketers have reportedly secured contracts with franchises in the tournament.
Among the prominent players expected to feature are Fakhar Zaman, Naseem Shah and Faheem Ashraf.
The development could allow Pakistani players to participate in the competition while addressing the PCB’s concerns regarding their availability for overseas leagues.
