ISLAMABAD, October 2026: PC Hospitality, the hospitality division of Hashoo Group, has partnered with women-led social enterprise Organiks Plus to promote women’s economic empowerment, strengthen local manufacturing and advance sustainable hospitality practices across its hotel portfolio.
The collaboration, involving Organiks Plus, an enterprise established by the Hashoo Foundation, aims to create greater opportunities for women and local producers while introducing environmentally responsible personal care products and refillable toiletry dispensers across PC Hospitality properties.
More than 60 percent of the group’s hotel portfolio has already transitioned to the new system, with a phased rollout continuing across Pearl-Continental Hotels & Resorts, PC Signature Collection, PC Legacy, PC Residences and Hotel One.
The initiative combines environmental responsibility with economic development by replacing conventional single-use plastic toiletries with locally manufactured personal care products supplied through permanent, wall-mounted dispensing systems.
According to PC Hospitality, the transition is designed to reduce plastic waste and improve resource efficiency without compromising guest comfort, hygiene or service quality.
Supporting women’s economic empowerment
A central feature of the partnership is its support for Organiks Plus, a women-led Pakistani social enterprise focused on sustainable manufacturing, community development and economic opportunities for women and young people.
By incorporating Organiks Plus products into its hotel operations, PC Hospitality aims to expand market access for locally manufactured goods while supporting enterprises that promote women’s participation in economic activity.
Organiks Plus CEO Sumeira Hashwani said the enterprise was committed to empowering households, strengthening communities and developing a competitive local economy.
“At Organiks Plus, we believe that empowering households and enriching communities go hand in hand with building a strong, competitive local economy,” she said.
Hashwani said the company’s vision was to create opportunities for local producers and communities while developing high-quality products that meet international standards.
She added that the collaboration demonstrated how locally manufactured products could compete with global brands while generating economic opportunities and contributing to a more sustainable future.
Promoting sustainable hospitality
PC Hospitality CEO Bastien Blanc said sustainability remained an integral part of the group’s long-term vision for the hospitality industry.
“Sustainability is an integral part of how we envision the future of hospitality,” he said.
Blanc said the collaboration with Organiks Plus would help eliminate single-use plastics through permanent dispensing systems while supporting local manufacturing and women’s economic empowerment.
He noted that more than 60 percent of the group’s hotel portfolio had already adopted the initiative.
The transition, he said, demonstrated that responsible business practices and high-quality guest experiences could be maintained together.
The initiative covers luxury hotels, premium hospitality properties, residences and select-service hotels, reflecting PC Hospitality’s efforts to integrate sustainable practices across different segments of its operations.
Strengthening local manufacturing and market access
The partnership also seeks to promote Pakistani-made products by incorporating Organiks Plus toiletries and personal care amenities into hotel guest services.
Organiks Plus manufactures a range of personal care products, hotel toiletries and washroom amenities, including refillable dispensing solutions designed to reduce dependence on disposable plastic packaging.
The enterprise focuses on responsible sourcing, local production and community development while seeking to create economic opportunities for women and young people.
Organiks Plus General Manager Arslan Ahmed said the partnership would help introduce the company’s environmentally responsible products to a wider hospitality audience.
He said the collaboration would strengthen the company’s brand presence, expand market access and demonstrate the value of sustainable product choices for businesses and consumers.
Ahmed added that the initiative represented an opportunity to scale the enterprise’s social and environmental impact while strengthening its position in Pakistan’s hospitality supply chain.
Expanding environmental initiatives across hotels
Beyond the transition to refillable toiletries, PC Hospitality is pursuing a broader sustainability programme covering energy efficiency, utilities management, water conservation and community engagement.
The group is implementing improvements in energy and utilities management across its operating properties, alongside water conservation measures supported by strategic partnerships, including Everywater.
Its sustainability efforts also include community outreach programmes intended to promote environmental responsibility and social development.
PC Hospitality said the partnership with Organiks Plus reflected its commitment to building a more resource-conscious hospitality sector while supporting local businesses and inclusive economic growth.
The collaboration brings together sustainable hotel operations, locally manufactured products and women’s economic empowerment as part of a broader approach to responsible business practices in Pakistan’s hospitality industry.
