RAWALPINDI, September 12: Allegations involving a five-year-old girl at Westminster International School in Bahria Town Phase 7 have triggered concern among parents and students, with questions being raised over child safety, CCTV coverage and the school administration’s handling of the matter.
Rawalpindi police are reportedly looking into the allegations, while the school administration has denied that any such incident took place. The Westminster International School Rawalpindi case has also prompted calls from parents for greater transparency over supervision and security arrangements for young children.
According to the girl’s mother, the child returned home complaining of Harrasment .
The mother said she questioned her daughter about whether anyone had touched her, after which the child allegedly indicated that inappropriate contact had occurred.
The account has not been independently verified, and no individual has been publicly established as responsible for any wrongdoing.
Mother Raises Concerns Over School Staff
The girl’s mother later circulated a voice message among other parents, asking them to speak with their children and find out whether any member of the school staff had ever touched them inappropriately or made them uncomfortable.
She reportedly referred to supervisors, nannies, ayahs and other staff members who work around young students.
The message heightened concern among parents as questions grew over the circumstances surrounding the allegation and the safeguards in place for children inside the school.
CCTV Footage Becomes Key Issue
According to the mother’s account, she visited the school seeking answers and was shown CCTV footage from several areas of the campus.
She said she specifically asked to view footage from a main corridor through which her daughter had allegedly passed while accompanied by a female staff member.
The mother claimed she was informed that the camera covering the relevant area was not functioning.
The reported absence of footage from that location became one of the main concerns raised by parents, who said complete CCTV coverage could help establish the child’s movements before and after the alleged incident.
The mother also reportedly said other recordings showed school staff around the child at different times, but she wanted access to footage from the specific corridor connected with her concerns.
School Denies Allegation
Westminster International School has denied the allegation and maintained that the facts should be established through an investigation before any conclusion is reached.
A video circulating on social media appears to show the school principal discussing the matter and saying the administration would examine the available information before issuing a definitive response.
According to accounts shared online, the school reviewed available CCTV footage and later briefed parents about its internal inquiry.
The administration reportedly maintained that no objectionable material had been identified in the footage it examined. Some parents, however, remained dissatisfied and continued to seek further clarification.
Dispute Emerges During Parent Meeting
The matter escalated during a meeting between parents and the school administration.
According to accounts circulating online, the administration arranged for CCTV footage from the relevant block to be shown. The girl’s parents reportedly requested that they be allowed to examine the recordings privately rather than have them displayed more widely.
A separate arrangement was subsequently made for the parents to view the footage.
The girl’s mother reportedly expressed frustration during the meeting and alleged that the family had not been provided with the complete picture.
Parents also raised broader questions about staff supervision, CCTV coverage and access to areas used by younger students.
Students Stage Protest
The controversy later spread to the student body, with O/A Level students reportedly staging a protest at the school’s football ground.
Photographs and videos shared on social media showed students carrying posters and raising concerns about the handling of the allegations.
Unverified reports have also circulated claiming that some parents temporarily stopped sending their children to the school because of concerns arising from the controversy. Those claims have not been independently confirmed.

The controversy has also generated political discussion after social media users linked the school with PML-N politician Daniyal Chaudhry, who has reportedly been associated with its Board of Governors.
That political discussion is separate from the allegation involving the child, and no evidence presented in the claims establishes any political figure’s involvement in the alleged incident.
The case has nevertheless renewed wider concerns about child-protection standards in educational institutions, including CCTV coverage, staff screening, supervision and procedures for responding to complaints involving young students.
