Pakistan’s equestrian team has received final clearance to send its horse, Aden de Verit, to Tokyo for the Asian Games, with the animal scheduled to depart France on September 14.

According to Pakistani equestrian athlete Usman Khan, Aden de Verit is expected to arrive in Tokyo on September 15 as preparations continue for Pakistan’s participation in the equestrian events.

Khan said the horse completed a 60-day approved quarantine in France, followed by a 10-day pre-export quarantine in Germany. In total, Aden de Verit underwent 70 days of quarantine before receiving clearance for the journey.

He added that all required tests conducted for the Asian Games returned negative results.

Officials said Aden de Verit will be transported to Japan to compete in the equestrian events at the Asian Games. Pakistan has also activated a final 72-hour preparation plan ahead of the horse’s departure from France.
