TOKYO: The quarter-final lineup for the men’s cricket competition at the 2026 Asian Games has been confirmed, with Pakistan set to face Hong Kong and India scheduled to meet Afghanistan on September 28.
Pakistan’s quarter-final against Hong Kong will begin at 5:00am Pakistan time on Monday, September 28, while India will take on Afghanistan at 9:30am Pakistan time the same day.
The quarter-final lineup was finalized after rain affected the preliminary group-stage matches. Nepal and Afghanistan advanced from Group A, while Hong Kong and Malaysia progressed from Group B. Japan’s campaign ended after its final group match against Nepal was washed out.
Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka had already secured direct qualification for the knockout stage as seeded teams. The remaining four quarter-final spots were contested by Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal and Oman.
