ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has announced that airlines will permit visa-free boarding for individuals traveling to Pakistan to attend the upcoming Islamabad talks, with visas to be issued upon arrival. The facilitation aims to ensure the smooth arrival of international delegations participating in the high-level diplomatic engagement.
The anticipated negotiations involve delegations from Iran and the United States following a Pakistan-brokered ceasefire, positioning Islamabad as a key facilitator in efforts to ease tensions between Tehran and Washington.

Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reviewed comprehensive security arrangements ahead of the talks. Authorities plan to seal Islamabad’s Red Zone and deploy more than 10,000 security personnel to ensure the safety of visiting dignitaries and maintain public order during the event.
Senior officials expected to attend include Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and United States representatives, including Vice President JD Vance. While official schedules have yet to be formally released, preparations indicate a significant diplomatic gathering aimed at fostering dialogue and stability in the region.
Pakistan’s initiative reflects its broader diplomatic objective of facilitating peaceful engagement between Tehran and Washington. By offering logistical support and stringent security measures, Islamabad seeks to create a conducive environment for constructive negotiations.
