ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s reported two- and three-wheeler sales climbed 13.7% month-on-month in September 2026, crossing the 200,000-unit mark as stronger motorcycle demand and higher three-wheeler volumes lifted the market.

According to data reported by the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), combined sales reached 202,502 units in September, compared with 178,119 units in August.

The increase of 24,383 units was driven largely by stronger motorcycle sales from Honda and United Auto, while Sazgar also posted significant three-wheeler volumes during the month.

Honda Remains the Biggest Volume Contributor

Honda retained its dominant position in Pakistan’s motorcycle market, selling 167,100 units in September, up from 153,236 units in August.

That represents an increase of 13,864 motorcycles, or around 9%, accounting for more than half of the overall month-on-month rise in reported two- and three-wheeler sales.

Suzuki also recorded a modest increase, with sales edging up from 3,615 units in August to 3,698 units in September.

United Auto Motorcycle Sales Jump 24.4%

United Auto recorded one of the strongest monthly increases among motorcycle manufacturers.

Its motorcycle sales rose to 24,802 units in September from 19,938 units in August, an increase of 4,864 units, or 24.4%.

The company’s three-wheeler sales, however, moved in the opposite direction, declining slightly from 147 units to 137 units during the same period.

Three-Wheeler Market Gains Momentum

Qingqi recorded a sharp increase in three-wheeler sales, which rose from 1,157 units in August to 1,566 units in September, representing growth of about 35%.

Sazgar reported 5,173 three-wheeler sales in September. No sales figure was listed for August in the published table, making a direct month-on-month comparison unavailable.

Even so, Sazgar’s September volume made it one of the biggest contributors to the overall increase in reported two- and three-wheeler sales during the month.

Monthly Sales Cross 200,000 Units

The most significant development in the September data was the combined two- and three-wheeler market crossing the 200,000-unit threshold in a single month.

Total reported sales reached 202,502 units, reflecting stronger demand in Pakistan’s high-volume motorcycle segment, particularly for Honda and United Auto models, alongside improved three-wheeler volumes.

The September figures represent a 13.7% increase from August and underline the continued strength of demand across Pakistan’s two- and three-wheeler market.
