NEW YORK, July 30, 2026: Pakistan has opened a national pavilion at Texworld New York City 2026, showcasing its textile, apparel, leather and sports goods industries to buyers and sourcing professionals from the United States and other international markets.
The Pakistan Pavilion at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center was inaugurated by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Consul General in New York Aamer Ahmed Atozai and Trade and Investment Counsellor Adnan Mahmood Awan.
The pavilion has been organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan in collaboration with the Trade and Investment Wing of the Pakistani Consulate General in New York.
It features products from Pakistani manufacturers operating in value-added textiles, home textiles, garments, towels, leather apparel, sportswear and gloves.
Speaking at the opening, Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh said the textile industry remained a major contributor to Pakistan’s economy and export earnings.

He said the government was focused on expanding exports and strengthening trade and commercial relations with the United States.
Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai said Pakistan had established itself as a competitive and reliable sourcing destination for international buyers.
He added that the consulate would continue facilitating business partnerships between companies in Pakistan and the United States.
Trade and Investment Counsellor Adnan Mahmood Awan said Texworld New York City provided Pakistani exporters with an important opportunity to meet buyers, understand market demand and expand their presence in the US textile market.
Five Pakistani companies are exhibiting under the national pavilion: A1 Infinity, MRI Group, Hometex Corporation, Ruqi Sports and Niza Sports.
The participating firms are displaying home textiles, towels, apparel, leather garments, sportswear, gloves and other textile products.
During the three-day exhibition, Pakistani exporters are expected to hold meetings with buyers, distributors and industry representatives from the United States and other markets.
Officials said Pakistan’s participation was aimed at promoting the country’s manufacturing capabilities, value-added production and export potential while building long-term commercial relationships with global buyers.
Texworld New York City 2026 runs from July 29 to July 31 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
