ZTBL’s Commitment to Farmers

The ZTBL President stressed that supporting smallholders is vital for agricultural reform. He pointed out that 96% of Pakistan’s farmers own less than 12.5 acres. Many of them cannot afford advanced equipment or high-quality seeds. In addition, weak advisory services and limited access to resources hold back productivity. Pakistan’s mechanization rate also remains lower than regional peers.

Private Sector Joins the Effort

Meanwhile, private firms pledged to strengthen productivity with better inputs and advisory services. They will also use ZTBL’s Zarai Baithaks to deliver guidance directly to farmers. This step, therefore, ensures that smallholders receive both knowledge and tools for better yields.

Driving Change Through Digital Channels

In addition, the scheme will promote digital transactions. By shifting from cash to secure payments, it will improve transparency and farmer access to financial services. For ZTBL, this collaboration is not just a partnership. It represents a strategy to place finance, technology, and modern services within reach of every small farmer.

Outlook for Pakistan’s Agriculture

As a result, the Pakistan small farmers support scheme is expected to enhance food security, reduce poverty, and drive rural development. With stronger collaboration between public and private sectors, Pakistan’s agricultural landscape could finally move toward modernization and long-term sustainability.
