Pakistan shortlist 35 players for FIH Pro Hockey League trials

LAHORE: The Pakistan Hockey Federation has announced a 35-player shortlist for the upcoming

FIH Pro Hockey League trials, with the final squad to be selected after trials scheduled for May 19 and 20.

The shortlisted players include goalkeepers Muneeb-ur-Rehman, Ali Raza, Faizan Janjua and Waqar.

The list also features defenders and strikers from across the national hockey setup as Pakistan prepares

for its next international assignments.

Selection committee to oversee trials

The selection committee for the trials will be headed by Olympian Samiullah Khan and includes Olympians

Naeem Akhtar, Nasir Ali, Manzoor Hassan, Kashif Jawad and Dr. Atif Bashir.

Pakistan’s national hockey team is scheduled to face Spain and Belgium in the FIH Pro Hockey League before

later fixtures against England and India.
