Pakistani shooters secured seven gold medals among 13 overall at the international event in Britain, competing against elite marksmen from around the world.
Pakistan’s rifle team delivered an impressive performance at the F-Class British Open 2026, winning a total of 13 medals, including seven golds, at the international shooting tournament held in Britain.
The 12-member Pakistani contingent, led by Lieutenant General Ahsan Gulrez, competed against around 185 shooters representing 24 countries, showcasing strong consistency and competitive ability across individual and aggregate events.
The National Rifle Association of the UK confirms that the 2026 F-Class British Open was held at the National Shooting Centre in Bisley, with the British Open individual championships taking place on August 7 and 8.
Huzaifa Gul Leads Pakistan’s Medal Haul
Huzaifa Gul emerged as one of Pakistan’s leading performers, winning four gold, two silver and one bronze medal across different events.
Ahsan Gul added two gold medals in the 1,000-yard competitions, further strengthening Pakistan’s medal tally.
Muhammad Waleed won gold in a 1,000-yard event and secured a bronze medal in the FTR aggregate competition.
Obaid Ibrahim and Junaid Ali also contributed to Pakistan’s success by winning bronze medals in the 800-yard events.
F-Class competition includes long-range rifle events, with the British Open featuring both F Open and FTR disciplines. The official 2026 event documentation lists individual and team competitions across long-range distances.
Pakistan Qualifies for International Championship
Following their strong showing at the British Open, the Pakistani national shooting team also qualified for an international championship.
The Pakistan Long Range Rifle Association (PLRA) described the performance as evidence of the country’s growing expertise in long-range rifle shooting and its ability to compete against experienced international shooters.
The result marks another notable achievement for Pakistani shooters on the international stage and highlights the country’s emerging strength in long-range F-Class shooting.
