Pakistan–Saudi Joint Exercise Al Battar-II Concludes in Tabuk

The Pakistan–Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Joint Military Exercise Al Battar-II was conducted from 18–26 November 2025 in the counterterrorism domain. Combat teams from the Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group (SSG) and the KSA Army participated in the extensive training drills. The closing ceremony took place on 26 November in Tabuk, KSA.

Senior Military Leadership Attends Closing Ceremony

The General Officer Commanding Special Services Group attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest from Pakistan, alongside senior military officials from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Troops Demonstrate High-Level Professionalism and Interoperability

During the exercise, troops from both countries showcased exceptional professionalism, operational capabilities, and strong interoperability across various complex scenarios.

Training Focused on Counterterrorism and Urban Warfare

Al Battar-II centred on enhancing joint expertise in counterterrorism operations, with special emphasis on operations in built-up areas, countering improvised explosive devices, and strengthening tactical drills through integrated, joint training.

Exercise Strengthens Historic Defence Partnership

The joint exercise further cemented the deep-rooted military-to-military ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, reflecting their longstanding strategic partnership.

Training Objectives Successfully Achieved

All training goals were successfully met, reaffirming the shared commitment of both nations to regional stability, strengthened security cooperation, and enhanced defence preparedness.
