RIYADH: The Chiefs of Defense Forces and Chiefs of General Staff of the states party to the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement met in Riyadh on Friday, September 25, 2026, with the participation of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye.
The meeting focused on the security situation and threats facing Saudi Arabia. The participating defense chiefs strongly condemned the attacks targeting the Holy City of Makkah as well as civilian and economic infrastructure.
They also commended the vigilance and professionalism of the Saudi Armed Forces in safeguarding the population and protecting the security of the Kingdom.
The military leaders discussed measures to further strengthen cooperation among the armed forces of the three countries, including enhanced intelligence sharing, military coordination and capability integration.
The participants said these efforts would contribute to strengthening deterrence and collective defense among the three countries.
They also highlighted the longstanding relations and mutual trust between the peoples and armed forces of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye.
According to the participants, the Riyadh meeting reflected the strength of the three countries’ defense partnership and their shared determination to translate the commitments of the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement into practical military cooperation.
The defense chiefs reaffirmed their commitment to collective defense and expressed their resolve to support the security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
