Pakistan and Romania explore expanded cooperation in trade, tourism and investment

Islamabad: A meeting was held at the Embassy of Romania in Islamabad between Rauf Raja, CEO of Brain Designer Pakistan, and Eduard Preda, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Romania, to discuss avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Romania.

The discussion focused on expanding collaboration in trade, tourism, hospitality, public-private partnerships, and investment, with both sides exploring ways to deepen economic engagement between the two countries.

According to details shared after the meeting, the two sides agreed in principle to organize a Pakistan–Romania Business Expo in Bucharest. The proposed event aims to provide a platform for business communities from both countries to explore partnerships, investment opportunities, and commercial linkages.

The Romanian side also highlighted efforts to position Romania as an attractive destination for international investors under the theme “Explore & Invest in Romania,” showcasing opportunities across multiple economic sectors.

Participants emphasized the importance of strengthening people-to-people ties, expanding tourism flows, and encouraging institutional collaboration to support long-term economic and cultural relations.

The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to continue engagement and translate discussions into practical initiatives aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation and shared economic growth.
