Pakistan enjoyed a strong start at the World Junior Individual Squash Championship 2026, with all four of its players winning their opening matches to secure places in the Round of 32.
The championship is being held in Niagara, Canada, where Pakistan’s junior squad advanced through the early rounds with victories over opponents from New Zealand, Japan, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Macau and Germany.
Nauman Khan Advances With Two Wins
Nauman Khan defeated Vihan Chaturi of New Zealand in the Round of 128 before overcoming Ren Makino of Japan in the Round of 64 to book his place in the next stage.
Yahya Khan Secures Round of 32 Spot
Yahya Khan began his campaign with a victory over Maurice Frey of Switzerland in the Round of 128.
He then defeated Sho Takahashi of Japan in a competitive Round of 64 match to advance to the Round of 32.
Umair Arif and Abdullah Nawaz Progress
Umair Arif received a walkover in the Round of 128 against Mathisha Wijesekara of Sri Lanka before defeating Ka Hei Le of Macau in the Round of 64.
Abdullah Nawaz also secured his place in the Round of 32 after defeating Corentin Bonnevie of Germany in straight games.
The World Junior Individual Squash Championship 2026 will conclude with the final scheduled for July 25 in Niagara, Canada.
