LAHORE — The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against Bangladesh, scheduled to be played in Dhaka from March 11 to 15.
All three matches of the series will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. Pakistan are expected to arrive in Bangladesh on March 8, with a practice session scheduled for March 10 ahead of the opening match.
Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi will lead the side during the tour. The squad features a mix of experienced players and emerging talent, including six cricketers who are yet to make their ODI debut.
The uncapped players named in the squad are Abdul Samad, Maaz Sadaqat, Muhammad Ghazi Ghori, Saad Masood, Sahibzada Farhan and Shamyl Hussain. Four of them — Abdul Samad, Maaz Sadaqat, Saad Masood and Shamyl Hussain — were recently part of the Pakistan Shaheens team that faced England Lions in Abu Dhabi.

Senior players left out
The squad announcement comes after Pakistan’s disappointing performance in the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup held in Sri Lanka and India.
Several senior players have been omitted from the ODI squad, including Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Usman Tariq, Mohammad Nawaz and Saim Ayub. The changes suggest a shift toward testing new players as Pakistan look to reshape the squad for upcoming international competitions.
