ISLAMABAD, Apr 6 — New business and activity restrictions are set to come into effect across Pakistan from April 7, with revised closing timings announced for markets, food outlets and event venues.
Under the new measures, markets and shopping malls will close at 8 PM, while restaurants, bakeries, tandoors and other food outlets will be allowed to operate until 10 PM.
The restrictions also apply to marriage halls, marquees and other commercial venues, which will be required to close by 10 PM. In addition, wedding events at private homes and properties will not be allowed beyond the same time.
Medical stores and pharmacies have been exempted from the restrictions to ensure uninterrupted access to essential services.
The measures are expected to impact commercial activity nationwide, particularly in urban centres, as authorities move to regulate business hours.
