Karachi, 14 Oct 26: Pakistan Navy has concluded its major maritime exercise SEASPARK-2026, which focused on validating operational plans and assessing combat readiness against a broad range of maritime security challenges amid changing geostrategic conditions and evolving warfare.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf attended the concluding session in Karachi as chief guest, according to a statement issued by the Directorate General Public Relations (Pakistan Navy).

The exercise was designed to test operational preparedness across multiple domains and assess the Navy’s ability to respond to emerging threats in an increasingly complex maritime environment.

Addressing the closing session, Admiral Naveed Ashraf said current challenges require continuous review of operational plans through detailed deliberations and war-gaming exercises.

He said lessons drawn from SEASPARK-2026 would help align conceptual planning with strategic and operational realities.

The Naval Chief also highlighted the importance of coordination among the three armed services, noting the role of tri-services synergy in responding across both the physical battlespace and the information domain.

SEASPARK-2026 placed particular emphasis on the integration of Multi-Domain Operations, including Operations in the Information Environment and the cognitive domain, alongside kinetic operations at sea.

According to the Navy, the exercise sought to improve coordination between different operational elements and strengthen the ability to gain an advantage across interconnected domains during maritime operations.

The concluding session was attended by officers from the three services, Pakistan Maritime Security Agency and civil organisations.

Pakistan Navy said the exercise was aimed at reviewing preparedness, refining operational concepts and strengthening its ability to respond to evolving maritime security challenges.
