ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Wednesday, with the rate of 24-karat gold dropping by Rs10,000 per tola to Rs539,962, according to figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The decline comes a day after gold prices had already dropped significantly in the domestic market. On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, gold prices in Pakistan tumbled Rs13,900 per tola, bringing the rate down to Rs549,962 after previously reaching record highs.

According to the association, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also decreased by Rs8,573 to Rs462,930 from Rs471,503 in the previous trading session.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold fell by Rs7,859, bringing the rate down to Rs424,367 from Rs432,226.
The rates of silver moved in the opposite direction. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs100 to Rs9,004 from Rs8,904, while the rate of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs86 to Rs7,719 from Rs7,633.
In the international market, gold prices also declined, falling by $100 to $5,172 from $5,272. Meanwhile, silver prices increased by $1 to $85.20 from $84.20.
Market analysts say movements in international bullion markets continue to influence daily price trends in Pakistan’s local gold market.
