ISLAMABAD, September 16, 2026: Former Premier League footballer Titus Bramble has been appointed assistant coach of Pakistan’s men’s senior national football team.
The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) confirmed Bramble’s appointment on social media, saying he will bring valuable experience from English football to the national side.
Bramble played in the Premier League for 13 years between 2000 and 2013, making more than 200 appearances. He began his professional career with Ipswich Town before joining Newcastle United, where he made 156 appearances in all competitions during a five-year spell.
He later played for Wigan Athletic and Sunderland. Before ending his playing career, Bramble also worked as a player-coach at Stowmarket Town and retired from professional football in 2018.
From England Under-21s to Coaching
Bramble represented England at Under-21 level, making 10 appearances, but did not feature for the senior national team.
After retiring from playing, he spent several years working with the Ipswich academy before moving into coaching in Dubai.
His appointment to Pakistan’s coaching staff will also reunite him with head coach Nolberto Solano. The two previously played together at Newcastle United between 2002 and 2007, making 83 appearances together for the club.
The PFF said Bramble joins the national team as Pakistan prepares for the FIFA ASEAN Cup and other upcoming international challenges.
The federation expects his playing and coaching experience in English football to contribute to the development of Pakistan’s senior national team.
