Pakistan Seeks Stronger Defence, Aviation Ties With Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tajikistan

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Thursday held separate meetings with the ambassadors of Ethiopia, Rwanda and Tajikistan, with discussions focusing on bilateral relations and cooperation in defence and aviation.

Ethiopian Ambassador Dr. Omar Hussain Oba, Rwanda’s High Commissioner to Pakistan Harerimana Fatou, and Tajikistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Yusuf Sharifzoda met the defence minister at his office in Islamabad.

During the meetings, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the defence and aviation sectors.

Khawaja Asif reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to deepen relations with all three countries and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The visiting diplomats appreciated their countries’ ongoing engagement with Pakistan and expressed interest in further broadening and strengthening bilateral ties.
