Dubai — Pakistan’s Consul General in Dubai, Hussain Muhammad, visited the Consulate General of Bangladesh to convey condolences on the death of Begum Khaleda Zia, Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and former Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
During his visit, the Consul General signed the condolence book and paid tribute to Khaleda Zia’s contributions to Bangladesh’s political and social development. He described her as a committed friend of Pakistan and noted that her lifelong service to her country leaves a lasting legacy.
“The Government and the people of Pakistan stand with the people of Bangladesh in this moment of sorrow,” he wrote. “I extend heartfelt condolences to her family and the people of Bangladesh. Her leadership and services will be remembered with respect. May her soul rest in peace.”
The Consul General’s gesture reflected Pakistan’s solidarity with Bangladesh at a time of national mourning, underscoring the shared respect for Khaleda Zia’s role in shaping her country’s political landscape.
