Pakistan expresses concern over resurgence of violence in Yemen

ISLAMABAD — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed concern over renewed violence in Yemen, calling for efforts to restore peace and stability in the country.

In its statement, Pakistan reaffirmed support for the unity and territorial integrity of Yemen. It emphasized that unilateral actions by any Yemeni party could escalate tensions, undermine peace efforts, and threaten regional stability.

Call for regional de-escalation efforts

Pakistan welcomed regional initiatives aimed at de‑escalating the situation and maintaining peace in Yemen. The statement highlighted the importance of collective efforts to prevent further instability.

The Ministry also expressed solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the Kingdom’s security.

Dialogue and diplomacy urged

The country underscored its support for resolving the Yemen issue through dialogue and diplomacy. It expressed hope that Yemen’s people and regional powers would work together toward an inclusive and lasting settlement to safeguard regional stability.
