Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first against Sri Lanka in the final of the tri-nation series, also featuring England, at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

Pakistan captain Shaheen Afridi confirmed that all-rounder Shadab Khan was unavailable for the final due to illness. Faheem Ashraf has been included in the playing XI as his replacement.

Sri Lanka captain Kusal Mendis said his team was prepared for the challenge of batting first despite losing the toss. Sri Lanka also made a change, bringing in Maheesh Theekshana in place of Eshan Malinga.

Pakistan Target Historic ODI Tri-Series Trophy

Pakistan will be looking to lift their first ODI tri-series trophy on home soil as they face Sri Lanka in the decisive encounter.

The national side last won an ODI tri-nation series title in 2008, when Pakistan defeated India in the final in Bangladesh.

With the trophy at stake, Pakistan will aim to make the most of home conditions, while Sri Lanka will look to put up a strong batting performance after being asked to set a target.
