Pakistan and Bangladesh have faced off in 39 ODIs so far, with Pakistan securing 34 wins and Bangladesh winning five times.
Pakistan’s head coach, Mike Hesson, expressed confidence in his team ahead of the series. He highlighted the exciting blend of experienced players and newcomers, with six uncapped players included in the squad. Hesson noted that players like Sahibzada Farhan, Shamyl Hussain, and Maaz Sadaqat earned their spots based on consistent performances in domestic cricket and with the Pakistan Shaheens.
Hesson also emphasized that the absence of Babar Azam was not a setback, but part of a strategy to give younger players a chance to prove themselves in overseas conditions.
