Islamabad, July 22, 2026: Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Managing Director Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt on Wednesday directed officials to speed up the processing of public complaints related to medical treatment, education, financial assistance and disability support.
The directions were issued during a virtual E-Kachehry held at the PBM headquarters, where beneficiaries and members of the public from different parts of the country raised concerns directly with the organisation’s leadership.
More than 20 participants presented cases during the hour-long session, according to a statement issued by Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal.
The complaints covered medical assistance, educational scholarships, financial support and programmes for the economic and physical rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.
PBM said the managing director reviewed the cases during the session and instructed the relevant departments to process and resolve them without unnecessary delay.
Shaheen Khalid Butt said assistance should reach eligible applicants in a transparent, fair and timely manner.
He said virtual public hearings could improve access to social protection services and strengthen accountability within the organisation.
The managing director also directed that the E-Kachehry should be held every month to provide beneficiaries with regular access to senior officials.
He appreciated the role of PBM IT and Management Information Systems Director Kashif Nadeem, who also serves as the organisation’s focal person for the Prime Minister’s Performance Delivery Unit, in arranging the session.
Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal provides financial and social support to vulnerable people through medical assistance, scholarships, rehabilitation programmes and other welfare initiatives.
