KARACHI: A delegation of the Pakistan Armed Forces Support Movement met with Aam Log Ittehad central leader Sadeed A. Malik at his office to discuss the country’s overall situation, support for the armed forces, the movement’s future strategy and other matters of mutual interest.
The delegation comprised Founder and Secretary General Iqtidar Hussain Siddiqui, Vice Chairman Syed Farrukh Najam, Sindh Committee Chairperson Qurrat-ul-Ain, Syed Mazhar Ali and Mona Khan.
During the meeting, Sadeed A. Malik expressed his support for the Pakistan Armed Forces, saying he would continue to stand by them. He stressed the need for serious and practical measures to address the various challenges facing the country.
He called for greater attention to unemployment, healthcare and education, saying Pakistan could not achieve its development objectives without providing basic facilities to citizens and creating employment opportunities for young people.
The participants reaffirmed their commitment to working for national stability, unity and the resolution of public issues.
Leaders of the Pakistan Armed Forces Support Movement said the armed forces had made countless sacrifices for the country’s defence and security, adding that their sacrifices should be acknowledged and honoured.
Secretary General Iqtidar Hussain Siddiqui said the movement’s primary objective was to support the Pakistan Armed Forces at every level and highlight their sacrifices. He said the organization would be expanded across Pakistan in an organized manner, with efforts to involve people from different sections of society.
Vice Chairman Syed Farrukh Najam said organizational activities would be launched across the country and a membership drive would begin soon. He added that organizational structures would be established in different areas to take the movement’s message to the public.
Sindh Committee Chairperson Qurrat-ul-Ain said women would also be encouraged to join the Pakistan Armed Forces Support Movement and contribute to strengthening national defence, stability and unity.
