Pakhtunkhwa College of Arts opens ninth graduation exhibition in Mardan

Pakhtunkhwa College of Arts at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan has inaugurated its ninth graduation exhibition, showcasing final-year thesis projects by students from multiple art and design disciplines.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmed. Women University Mardan Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana attended the ceremony as a special guest.

Final-year students from Textile Design, Communication Design, Interior Design and Fine Arts, with a focus on painting, presented their research-based creative projects. The displayed works included modern designs, costumes, paintings, interior models and other art pieces.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmed said art and design were important pillars of cultural identity, creative thinking and intellectual development in any society.

He said students of Pakhtunkhwa College of Arts had demonstrated through their hard work, creativity and artistic skills that they had the potential to earn recognition for the country at national and international levels.

The vice chancellor said Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan was committed to providing students with practical and creative opportunities alongside quality education. He added that graduation exhibitions offered young artists an important platform to present their talent before academics, professionals and the public.

The ceremony was attended by Pakhtunkhwa College of Arts Principal Prof. Fazal Sattar Durrani, Nida Andleeb Khattak, Asfandyar Effendi, faculty members, students, fine arts professionals and invited guests.

Saiftun, Ajmalin and Haider Ali served as judges for the exhibition.

According to the organizers, the exhibition will continue until June 30. Members of the public will also be able to visit and view the creative works produced by young artists and designers.
