The Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) emerged as one of the leading attractions at the Sixth Lahore Science Mela 2025, which began on Saturday with enthusiastic participation from educational institutions, research centers, and science enthusiasts across the country.

Continuing its tradition of active involvement, PAEC showcased a wide range of scientific and technological advancements through its interactive and informative stalls. The organization’s various divisions — including Nuclear Medicine, Agricultural Research Centers, PIEAS University, and Nuclear Power Institutes — presented engaging displays that highlighted the Commission’s multifaceted contributions to Pakistan’s socio-economic development.

At the Nuclear Medicine and Agriculture stalls, visitors learned about the use of nuclear technology in improving healthcare, enhancing crop yields, and ensuring food security. The PAEC Power Division demonstrated how atomic energy is being safely harnessed to meet the nation’s growing energy demands, while representatives from PIEAS University engaged students in discussions on higher education and research opportunities in nuclear sciences.

The PAEC pavilion drew significant attention from visitors of all ages, especially students eager to explore scientific innovations firsthand. Families thronged the venue, interacting with scientists and researchers who shared insights into how peaceful nuclear applications are shaping Pakistan’s progress in medicine, energy, and agriculture.

Organized by the Khawarizmi Science Society, the Lahore Science Mela 2025 is being held at Crescent Model Higher Secondary School, Shadman-I, and will conclude on Sunday, October 26. The event once again reaffirmed PAEC’s commitment to promoting scientific awareness and inspiring the next generation of innovators through education and public engagement.
