Rawalpindi — Over 15 Afghan Taliban fighters were sent to hell during the Spin Boldak border clashes. Pakistan’s Armed Forces repelled coordinated cross-border attacks by Afghan Taliban and Fitna Al Khwarij militants. The clashes occurred in two separate regions—Spin Boldak in Balochistan and the Kurram Sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The military response resulted in heavy militant casualties and destruction of enemy infrastructure.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Spin Boldak border clashes began in the early hours of 15 October when Afghan Taliban fighters launched simultaneous assaults on four locations near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The attack was routed through divided villages, showing blatant disregard for civilian safety and tribal easement rights. During the assault, militants also destroyed the Pak-Afghan Friendship Gate on their side of the border—a symbolic act that, according to ISPR, reflects their hostility toward mutual trade and regional cooperation.
Pakistan Army responded with a proportionate but forceful counteroffensive, deploying tanks and mortars to neutralize Taliban positions. Security sources confirmed that multiple posts were destroyed and over 15 Afghan Taliban fighters were killed, with several others injured.
The Spin Boldak border clashes were part of a broader escalation. On the night of 14/15 October, Afghan Taliban and Fitna Al Khwarij attempted to breach Pakistani border posts in the Kurram Sector. That attack was also decisively repelled. Pakistani troops destroyed eight enemy posts, including six tanks, and inflicted significant losses—estimated at 25–30 militants killed.
ISPR categorically rejected claims from the Taliban regime that Pakistan initiated the conflict or lost control of any posts or equipment. The statement called such assertions “outrageous and blatant lies,” adding that the propaganda can be debunked with basic fact checks.
“Pakistan’s Armed Forces remain resolute and fully prepared to defend every inch of our territory. All acts of aggression will be met with full force,” the statement concluded.
The situation remains fluid, with reports of further militant build-up near staging points. Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty and regional stability amid rising threats.
