Women University Swabi recently held an orientation ceremony for the new batch of Fall 2024 students at both its Maini Kotha and Gulo Deri campuses. The event welcomed newly enrolled students in the faculties of Sciences and Social Sciences, marking the beginning of their academic journey at the university.
The orientation was attended by key university officials who briefed the students on university rules, regulations, and services. Dr. Raisa Bano, Registrar of Women University Swabi, opened the session by highlighting the university’s mission and vision, encouraging students to make the most of the learning opportunities. Dr. Sania Zaheer Ali, Director Academics, elaborated on the academic programs and resources available to support the students’ educational pursuits.
Additionally, Dr. Gulnaz Parveen, Incharge Faculty of Sciences and Provost, and Dr. Sadhna, Incharge Faculty of Social Sciences, provided insights into their respective faculties. Dr. Rehna, Chief Proctor, discussed campus safety and disciplinary policies, while Dr. Nelam Khaliq, Incharge Sports, emphasized the importance of physical fitness and co-curricular activities.
The orientation also included a session by Waseem Khattak, Additional Director of Public Relations and Publications, who shared information on student support services and communication channels. Syed Jazaib Shamim, Deputy Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell, explained the significance of quality education, and Miss Iqra Imtiaz, Deputy Director of Financial Aid Services, briefed students on scholarships and financial assistance. Miss Faryal, Deputy Director of the Youth Development Center, motivated students to actively participate in extracurricular activities to develop their skills.Deputy Director admission Dr Rabia Gohar , incharge transport Mr Tayab and Deputy Director Exmination Miss Firdos and Bakht also briefed students regarding their sections.
The event concluded with an interactive session where students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the faculty and staff. The orientation aimed to make new students feel at home and prepare them for a successful academic experience at Women University Swabi.
