ISLAMABAD — Pakistan’s Armed Forces carried out precision airstrikes during the night of March 16 as part of Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, targeting what officials described as militant-linked infrastructure in Kabul and Nangarhar.
According to official statements, the operation focused on sites allegedly used for logistical support, ammunition storage, and technical coordination linked to militant activity.
The development was also shared by Information Minister Ata Tarar on X (formerly Twitter).
Strikes target infrastructure in Kabul and Nangarhar
Officials said that in Kabul, two locations associated with technical support and ammunition storage were struck. Secondary explosions observed after the strikes indicated the presence of large ammunition depots at the targeted sites.
In Nangarhar, four locations described as militant-linked facilities were also targeted. These sites reportedly included logistics hubs, ammunition storage, and related infrastructure.

Emphasis on precision targeting
Authorities stated that the strikes were carried out with precision, focusing only on facilities believed to be used in support of militant operations. The operation was described as part of broader efforts to counter cross-border threats and ensure national security.
Officials also rejected claims circulating from Afghan sources, calling them misleading and reiterating that the targets were selected based on intelligence related to militant activity.
Ongoing operations
The military indicated that operations under Operation Ghazab Lil Haq would continue as part of ongoing efforts to address security challenges and protect civilians from militant threats.
